The First President of Kazakhstan receives Akhmetzhan Yessimov, Chairman, Samruk-Kazyna JSC

During the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev was briefed on the results of work to achieve key production and financial development indicators of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

So, according to the presented report, based on the results of the first half of the year, net profit amounted to KZT 749 bln., increasing by 50% compared to the same period last year. Operating profit and revenue from sales amounted to KZT 492 bln. and KZT 3.3 tln., respectively, demonstrating an increase of 36% and 12% compared to the 2018 indicator.

Noting the positive dynamics, Leader of the Nation has stressed the need for the Fund’s active participation in carrying out social projects aimed at improving the welfare of Kazakhstanis.

The First President of Kazakhstan focused on the issue of supporting children with disabilities as part of Kamkorlyk initiative.

- The government, local councils, non-governmental organizations and the business community are doing a lot of work to support children with special needs. However, currently functioning rehabilitation centres do not satisfy the real demand for them. Therefore, it is necessary to intensify work in this direction, said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Leader of Nation has stressed the need to create diversified regional rehabilitation centres based on existing infrastructure, as well as the organization of additional resource inclusion support centres for inclusion in secondary schools.

- Samruk-Kazyna is always actively involved in supporting charity projects. Therefore, I believe that the Holding could take part in carrying out this initiative, said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

In addition, the Fund was instructed to launch educational projects on supporting and developing talented children from low-income families in remote regions of the country.

Also, the Leader of Nation noted the importance of implementing projects in the field of medicine directed to improving the material base of medical centres and increasing the personnel potential of the industry.
