Nursultan Nazarbayev orders to allocate KZT200 million to fight the coronavirus
200 million tenge will be allocated by the Foundation of the First President of Kazakhstan to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection in our country.
Funds are allocated by Nursultan Nazarbayev’s direct order who is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis.
“Today in Kazakhstan, all the necessary anti-epidemic measures are being fully implemented. They are timely and are liable for the present-day situation. The government is taking unequalled measures. All possible assistance in the fight against dangerous infections brings domestic business. I urge that this initiative be fully supported by showing social responsibility and demonstrating the cohesion of our society. We will pass this test with dignity. Біз біргеміз!”, the Order of the First President of Kazakhstan says.
The allocated funds will be distributed in equal shares between the akimats of the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
Financial assistance will go for granting bonus payments for health workers involved in the fight against the pandemic, purchase of more medical face masks and disinfecting agents. Also, part of the money will be aimed to provide food for orphanages and specialized hospitals in the capital city.
In addition, the top staff of the Foundation has transferred 50 thousand medical face masks to the Public Health Department of Nur-Sultan city.
