The supreme governing body of the Nazarbayev University, Intellectual Schools and the Fund is the Supreme Secretary Board, which is chaired by Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The competence of the Supreme Secretary Board includes approval of the development strategy, statutes of the University, Intellectual schools and the Fund; procedure for disposing of property; formation of the Supreme Secretary Board of the University, Intellectual Schools and the Fund; reorganization or liquidation of the University, Intellectual Schools and the Fund.
